S-47 / S-37 Berkut, Sukhoi continues development of possible next generation fighter
The Sukhoi Design Bureau of Moscow, Russia has developed the Su-47 (previously called the S-37 Berkut) fighter aircraft, which first flew in September 1997. The fighter was designed as a test demonstrator, but the design may form the basis of Sukhoi's next generation fighter for the Russian Air Force.

One of the largest Air Force bases with more than 724 square miles of land ranges and facilities and more than 86,500 square miles of water ranges in the Gulf of Mexico. Eglin Main hosts the main testing, administrative and living facilities along with the major airfield. The Eglin land reservation consists of 27 ranges and 10 auxiliary fields of which three remain active: Eglin Main, Duke Field and Hurlburt Field.
