Song 1 is the final song on Zao's second full length album The Splinter Shards the Birth of Separation. The full lyrics to the song, however, are not completely known. It is also their second longest song ever recorded.

After fading out 3:40 into the song, there is almost complete silence except for the the sound of rain, and a guitar begins to play at 5:15. However, as the guitar beat picks up, it is overrun by sound effects which screech out at 8:17. The song officially ends at 8:21.
