The 2005 USC Trojans football team represented the University of Southern California in the college football season of 2005-2006. They were atop the AP Poll, Coaches Poll, and BCS Rankings throughout the regular season. They scored under 40 Points only three times. Memorable Games against Fresno State, Notre Dame, Washington, and the Rest of the Pac-10 sealed the Heisman fate for Reggie Bush, who won in a landslide over Vince Young and teammate Matt Leinart. This gave USC back-to-back Heisman Trophies and three out of the last Four (Palmer 2002, Leinart 2004, Bush 2005). Bush's trophy gave USC their Seventh all-time, making them Number 1 on the all-time list. The Trojans failed to win a third consecutive AP National Title and second consecutive Consensus National Title, when the Texas Longhorns came to the Rose Bowl led by the Junior QB Vince Young and defeated the Trojans. USC Finished 12-1. Recap
