2CR FM ("Two Counties Radio") is a British Independent Local Radio station broadcasting from a former carpet shop in Southcote Road in Bournemouth. Its name is derived from the fact that its broadcast area includes parts of the counties of Dorset and Hampshire. It is part of The One Network.

Former BBC Radio Solent presenter John Piper launched the station in 1980, with the words "Good Morning Hampshire, Good Morning Dorset". At that time it was a "full service" station with music, personalities, phone-ins, and a local news service.

The most notable member of staff is Rosemary Mundy. From the launch date to today, Rosemary has been an integral part of the station. Rosemary is the office manager of the radio station.

Other notable presenters include Christian O'Connell (who now presents the breakfast show on Virgin Radio) and the UK's first Professor of Radio, Sean Street, who still teaches in the 2CR FM area at Bournemouth University, Fran Godfrey (Radio 2 Newsreader), Geoff Allen, John Terrett (now at Al-Jazeera TV), Richard Gwynn, Glenn Richards, Graham Mack (TFM Radio), Simon Ward and Martyn Lee

ITV News' Crime Correspondent Adrian Britton was once a receptionist at the station. BBC Match of the Day commentator Dan O'Hagan got his big break on the station, reporting from Wembley Stadium on AFC Bournemouth's appearance in the 1998 Auto Windscreens Shield final.

The station headed into the millennium, gaining its biggest ever RAJAR figures with Richie, Martyn & Emma on the Morning Crew, followed by Katherine Orman presenting 10am-2pm and Adrian Clarkson on Drive 2-7pm. The line-up stayed like that until 2002 when Adrian Clarkson was replaced by GWR network presenter - Rob Smith. Shortly afterwards Katherine Orman left to be replaced by James "Lloydie" Lloyd.
