AMusA (Associate diploma in Music, Australia)

The AMusA is a diploma awarded to outstanding musical candidates by the Australian Music Examinations Board. The AMusA, also called AMus, is considered a prestigious award, ranking above the grades available, but below the Licentiate diploma (LMusA). Australian musicians consider the AMus to be at a level of performance standard equivalent to or greater than undergraduate performance practice in a dedicated conservatoire. For candidates in performance, a prerequisite pass in 6th (of 8), or pass with credit in 5th, Grade musicianship or musical theory is needed for the award. AMusA is awarded in these performance categories:

AMusA is also awarded in the fields of Theory of Music and Musicianship.
