Above the Rim is the official movie soundtrack to John Singleton's film Above the Rim. It had four singles, "Pour Out a Little Liquor" by 2Pac, "Regulate" by Warren G and Nate Dogg, "Part Time Lover" by H-Town, and "Afro Puffs" by The Lady Of Rage. It also feauters many new acts including B-Rezell, Lord G, DJ Rogers and also the Death Row debut for 2Pac. One of the more acclaimed tracks from the original release of the album, "Pain" by 2Pac was not included on the compact disc rerelease of the album. It was certified double platinum with its 2,142,290 shipped copies. The album won on the 1995 Source Awards as the Soundtrack of The Year.
