Adam Hammill (born 25 January 1988) is an English football midfielder, currently playing for Dunfermline Athletic, on loan from Liverpool F.C. He was a member of the Youth Academy at Liverpool, and after countless impressive performances for the Youth team and the Reserves, he was promoted to Melwood on a full-time basis, along with fellow youngster Calum Woods and is currently seen as one of the clubs brightest youth prospects.
Adam Hammill is sometimes described as a flamboyant and creative midfielder. He can play on either wing, or in the hole behind the striker. He has a range of skills and good technique, accompanied by good pace and acceleration which has made him an instant hit at East End Park. Many compare him to similar types of players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Joe Cole[citation needed]. Adam was part of the Liverpool team that defeated Manchester City in the 2006 FA Youth Cup final.
Along with friends and team mates Craig Lindfield and Paul Anderson he has been called up for England U19 internationals in 2006 and scored his first U-19 international goal in the win against Switzerland in November 2006. [1]
On January 18, 2007, he completed a move to Scottish side Dunfermline Athletic, until the end of the season, re-uniting with his former teammate Woods.[2] He has been such an instant hit at East End Park that fans have already honoured him with a new song. Adam Hammill song
