Adrian Byran Murrell (born October 16, 1970 in Fayetteville, North Carolina), is an American former professional football player who was selected by the New York Jets in the 5th round of the 1993 NFL Draft. A 5'11", 210 lbs. running back from the West Virginia University, Murrell played in 9 NFL seasons from 1993-2000 and 2003. Murrell's peak performance in his career came during the 1996 season when he rushed for 1,249 yards and 6 touchdowns for the Jets. His trademark was to salute after scoring a touchdown. His younger brother Marques is a star defensive end on the Appalachian State University football team.
