The game puts the player in the main character role. Goofy left the golden key for the castle gate inside, and Mickey Mouse asks your help to find six silver keys needed to open the Disney castle gate. This will allow the Disney parade to begin. The player must then go through six different stages, modeled after rides in Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, in order to retrieve the keys. When you've completed all six tasks you can just walk to the castle gate, Mickey will congratulate you and the parade will begin.

The game begins with you moving around the park in a top perspective. Each stage is one of the park rides, and you can walk around the park to chose the order in which you play each level. The stages vary in difficulty and in gameplay, and can be completed in any order. The six stages are the following:

In this stage you control a speed car in a race against villain Panhandle Pete, who has stolen one of the mentioned keys. The game play is from a top-down perspective and you must swerve and drive your car against various obstacles and pits.

This is a traditional side scroller where you must go inside the Haunted Mansion and brave 999 ghosts to retrieve one of the keys. You can throw candles at the ghosts to defeat them. In the final room, you must defeat the final ghost to win the key.

This is another side scroller where you must rescue six villagers from pirates who have raided an island that resembles the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Pirates will bump you or throw barrels at you. When you've rescued all the villagers, you can light a bonfire to signal the rescuers to pick you up. You have no offensive weapons in this level, until you locate the candle that will allow you to shoot unlimited fireballs.

This is another game from a top-down perspective, like Autopia. You control a train going down a track, and you must quickly choose from the various paths to take. Each path will take you through several obstacles, boulders, barriers, etc. You must pick the right track in order to reach the final station.

In this game you get on board a spaceship with the mission to reach a certain star. The game is in first person perspective and you must use the arrow controls on the gamepad to maneuver through the asteroids in your way. You will also have to shoot enemy ships with your phaser.

The trivia game is available to play at anytime. You have to walk around the park to find several kids that will lead you to the final key. In order to ensure you really are Mickey's friend, they will ask you different trivia questions about Disney movies and characters, which you will have to answer correctly in order to win the key. Once you correctly answer all the questions, you be will given directions to another kid in the park.
