Alexandria ("Lexie") Karlsen (born October 26, 1978) is an American model, actress and author.

With a background in journalism and finance, Karlsen has been described as a brainy adult model. She began posing nude for Perfect 10 magazine in their summer 1997 premiere issue, and was selected Playboy Playmate of the Month for March, 1999. Her centerfold was photographed by Arny Freytag and Stephen Wayda. Lexie has appeared in several Playboy videos and special editions, working steadily for Playboy for more than three years following her centerfold appearance. In 2001, Karlsen started writing a regular column on love and dating for Perfect 10. Karlsen has also been featured in the November 2002 issue of Stuff magazine in the layout titled "A Day in the Life of a Centerfold".

Karlsen appeared in Playboy's rival publication, Penthouse magazine, as its Pet of the Month for July 2006. Her appearance in Penthouse made her only the third adult model to be selected as both a Playboy Playmate and a Penthouse Pet, following only Linn Thomas and Victoria Zdrok.

Karlsen is also a FORD model and has appeared in numerous mainstream magazines, including STUFF (US), on the cover of STUFF (UK), in MAXIM, on Beverly Hills 213, in Scottsdale Magazine, in Phoenix Magazine, and numerous other catalogs, editorial and print. She is one of the few nude models who also works extensively in the mainstream market.

In Fall of 2007, Karlsen will begin hosting "The Nude View" on a new pay channel called Vavoom. She also hosts a radio show twice a week on Vavoom's Sirius Channel. [1]

In addition to her work with men's magazines, Karlsen was regularly featured on the FX channel's The X Show, UPN's Battle Dome, and as a try-out Barker Beauty on five episodes of CBS's The Price Is Right show. She has also worked on shows such as Ripley's Believe It or Not, Talk Soup, The Late Late Show, The Tonight Show, and others.

She has also authored a book titled The Divorced Guy's Guide to Dating: How to Meet More Women.

In 2007, the Wall Street Journal reported that federal prosecutors have charged Philadelphia businessman Andrew Yao with lying about his relationship with Karlsen to a grand jury investigating larger charges of fraud and money laundering; Yao gave Karlsen $650,000, which he claims was for airplanes and a movie deal, but Karlsen says it was a gift as she had dated Yao for four months.[1] Unknown to Karlsen at the time, Yao was married with three children when she began dating him.

As of October 2007, Karlsen is married with two children, ages 3 and 2.
