All Grown Up! is an American animated television series that ran from April 12, 2003 to November 25, 2006 on Nickelodeon.

Contents

All Grown Up! (also known as AGU) is based on characters from Rugrats, as older characters facing pre-teen and teen issues. It premiered on April 12, 2003 as a preview before starting its regular run in late November 2003.

The show is based on the 2001 Rugrats television movie/pilot All Growed Up, which proved popular enough that Nickelodeon decided to commission a whole series. Production began in September 2002. It aired on Nick on CBS on March 14, 2004 and ended on September 9, 2004. During summer 2003, teasers for All Grown Up aired. However, the scenes shown were not clips from actual episodes of the show.

When the series premiered its regular run, more than 3.2 million viewers, and over a third of all kids watching cable in the U.S., tuned in, enough to put it into the 2nd place slot for the week (behind an NFL game on ESPN) and making it the highest-rated premiere in Nick's history at the time. (The April sneak peek didn't make the top 15 cable programs for that week, due to the ongoing war in Iraq.) The original titles for this series were All Growed Up! and Rugrats: All Growed Up!.

In early 2007, All Grown Up! was removed from the Nickelodeon schedule in the United States and was replaced with Nick Jr.'s Lazy Town. It will premiere on Nicktoons Network on an unknown date.

Nickelodeon is currently airing new episodes of All Grown Up that started on November 12, 2007 and this marathon ended on November 30. The final two episodes are presumed to air in 2008.

The principle characters and their traits (as well as their voice performers) have been carried over from the original Rugrats series, with a handful of changes and additional character traits. In All Grown Up!, Angelica's best friend is Samantha Shayne. Samantha makes a small cameo appearance in the episode "Yu-Gotta-Go!". She is seen talking on her cell phone next to Angelica.
