"All My Life" was the first single released from Foo Fighters' fourth album, One By One. It was released on two main discs in 2002. It also won a Grammy for best hard rock performance. The song spent 10 straight weeks at #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, coincidentally succeeding Nirvana (who featured Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl on drums) and their long-unreleased final recording, "You Know You're Right."
In March 2005, Q magazine placed "All My Life" at number 94 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks.

The video features the band playing on a stage inside of an empty venue with no audience. It was directed by singer Dave Grohl.
- According to Grohl in an interview with Kerrang!, the song's lyrics reference the act of cunnilingus, as can be inferred by the lyric "I love it, but I hate the taste".
- In the music video, in the final part when Grohl sings: "Done Done on the next one" the words can be seen in the back of the band at 4:33 to 4:38
- The song was included as downloadable content in Guitar Hero III [1]
- This song was briefly featured in Top Gear during the Porsche challenge whilst Jeremy Clarkson was making tyre marks in an attempt to create the longest number eleven skid mark.
