Ban Lat (Thai: บ้านลาด) is a district (Amphoe) in the central part of Phetchaburi Province, central Thailand.

Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Khao Yoi, Mueang Phetchaburi, Tha Yang, Kaeng Krachan and Nong Ya Plong of Phetchaburi Province.

Originally named Tha Chang (ท่าช้าง), it was renamed to Ban Lat in 1939.[1]

The district is subdivided into 18 subdistricts (tambon), which are further subdivided into 115 villages (muban). Ban Lat is a township (thesaban tambon) and covers the whole tambon Ban Lat. There are further 14 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
