The Anaheim Arsenal joined the NBA Development League as an expansion team for the 2006-07 season. They play their home games at the Anaheim Convention Center, in Orange County, California, USA.
Team owners include Tom & Louise Jones, as well as Gino Kwok, who is president of the Summer Pro League in Long Beach, California, and Roy Englebrecht, who operates a school for aspiring broadcasters, fight promotors known as Fight Promoter University and is a boxing promoter.
The Arsenal are the first professional basketball team at the Anaheim Convention Center since a 1992 Clippers NBA playoff game was played there because of the L.A. Sports Arena being unavailable as a result of the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
