Andy Dorman (born May 1, 1982 in Chester, England) is a Welsh football (soccer) player who plays for New England Revolution in Major League Soccer.
As a child, Dorman attended Hawarden High School. He played for the Wales U-18 schools team which is open to all children attending school in Wales. However, he has no qualification for the Welsh national team.
Dorman was drafted 58th overall in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft out of Boston University by the New England Revolution, and succeeded in making the team's 2004 developmental roster. At Boston University, Dorman was named to the All-New England first team twice, and the second team once. In his first season with the Revs, Dorman clocked only 365 minutes, but scored two goals and an assist in that time, evincing an attacking flair.
The 2006 season was truly a breakout year for Dorman, as he played in all 32 games for the Revs, scoring 6 goals and assisting on 10 others. During a season when many Revolution players missed time due to injury, suspension, or international duty, Dorman was forced to play many roles and positions. His diligence and creativity on the attack gained the attention and respect of many around the league, and he was named the 2006 "Man of the Year" by the Midnight Riders, the Revolution's independent supporters group.
Dorman is currently one of just two Welsh MLS players, the other one being Welsh international Carl Robinson of Toronto FC. However, unlike Robinson, Dorman is ineligible to play for the Wales national team.
