Andy Hamilton

Andrew Stanley Hamilton (born 1954) is a British comedian, game show panelist, director and comedy scriptwriter for television and radio. He has appeared in Have I Got News for You, The News Quiz, QI and If I Ruled the World, and is an occasional guest panelist in I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue.

He was born in Fulham, south-west London. Educated at grammar school, Hamilton read English at Downing College, Cambridge, where he was a member of the Cambridge University Light Entertainment Society (CULES). Hamilton first came to major notice whilst performing in the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the 1970s.

On 16th March 2007, he co-presented BBC Radio 4's "Woman's Hour" programme, alongside usual presenter Martha Kearney, as part of that day's Comic Relief fundraising activities.
