From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Yale Anglers' Journal (YAJ), founded in 1996, features new and reprinted prose, poetry, art, and photography about the sport of fishing.

The publication is edited, published and produced by Yale University undergraduates on campus under the supervision of a faculty advisor. Submissions are accepted from anyone. The magazine has featured work from James Prosek, Nick Lyons, Ernest Schweibert, Howell Raines, Jimmy Carter, Robert Behnke, Elliot Richardson, Roderick L. Haig-Brown, and Richard Brautigan, and lesser-known writers.

The YAJ is published bi-annually with yearly subscriptions offered at $20 per year, two-year subscriptions for $30, and back issues sold for $12 each. All subscriptions and individual orders are fulfilled by undergraduates. YAJ issues are perfect-bound paperbacks with just over 100 pages of text and images printed on a digital press in black-and-white with a four-color cover. The trim size is 5 3/4" × 8 3/4".

As of 2006, it has about 1,000 subscribers. It also has patrons, an editorial board, and advisors.
