Anime News Network (ANN) is an anime industry news website that reports on the status of anime, manga, Japanese popular music and other otaku-related culture within North America and Japan, though it often features similar happenings throughout the Anglosphere and elsewhere in the world from time to time. The website also features reviews, and other editorial content (columns, blogs, feature articles, interviews, etc...), Internet forums where readers can discuss current issues and events, and an encyclopedia. The encyclopedia contains a large number of anime with information on Japanese and English staff, theme songs, plot summaries and user ratings.

Anime News Network also has an IRC channel on the WorldIRC network, #animenewsnetwork

In 2005 the editorial staff at ANN also became formally involved with the anime magazine known as Anime News Network's Protoculture Addicts.
