Anne Elizabeth Ramsay (born September 11, 1960), is an American actress best known for her role as Lisa Stemple on Mad About You, for which she shared a nomination for Best Ensemble in a Comedy series for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

She was born and raised in Southern California. [1] She studied theater at UCLA and graduated with a baccalaureate. She worked with an acting group called The Continum, which featured UCLA alumni, through the acting group she got her big break and an agent.

She has many notable feature credits including A League of Their Own and Planet of the Apes.

Anne Ramsay is well known for her role as Lisa Stemple on the 7 year series Mad About You . Lisa Stemple is the loveable, spacy, perpetually single sister of Jamie Buchman Helen Hunt . She has also made numerous TV show guest appearances on such series as Six Feet Under, Chicago Hope, CSI, Dharma & Greg and The L Word. She was most recently seen on The WB series, Related.
