Apocalypse Ltd

Apocalypse Ltd was a publishing company formed out of an alliance of Pat Mills, John Wagner, Alan Grant and Kevin O'Neill along with Neptune Distribution, who were also involved with Trident Comics.

It was meant to provide titles such as Marshal Law a way to avoid dealing with the big companies such as Marvel Comics & DC Comics. All of its titles were creator-owned, however it quickly fell into financial troubles and its weekly title, Toxic! suffered due to creators not being paid. Another title, Primal, created by Clive Barker was never published though it did later appear published by Dark Horse, who also picked up several of Toxic!'s other titles.

The company ended in acrimony in 1992 with many involved never working in comics again.[citation needed]
