Appleton is an English musical duo comprising of sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton. The sisters are perhaps best known as members of the pop music girl group All Saints.

Natalie and Nicole were born in 1973 and 1974 respectively to their British mother Mary and Canadian Jewish father, Ken. They also have two elder sisters, Lori and Leigh. Their parents divorced in the late 1970s, and so the sisters switched frequently between England, Canada, and the United States. Both attended Ellenville High School in upstate New York. They stayed in Britain eventually, and became students at the Sylvia Young Theatre School in North London, which was to tutor their fellow All Saints colleague and Nic's schoolmate, Melanie Blatt as well as Denise van Outen, Letitia Dean and Samantha Janus. On May 19, 1992 at the age of 19, Natalie gave birth to her daughter Rachel by her first husband, male stripper Carl Robinson. Soon after she left him due to domestic violence. [2] The sisters were back in the UK in 1994, and, together with Shaznay Lewis, joined with former schoolmate Melanie Blatt to form All Saints.
The group signed a record deal with London Records in 1996, the year the Spice Girls came to prominence. (See the article about All Saints for more on their success).
In 2000 both Nat & Nic appeared in the universally panned film Honest, directed by ex-Eurythmics member Dave Stewart and featuring saucy nude scenes by both sisters.
In 2001, All Saints disbanded acrimoniously. Natalie and Nicole formed the band Appleton. In their personal lives, Natalie got married to The Prodigy's Liam Howlett that summer, and Nicole had her first son, Gene, with Liam Gallagher the frontman for Oasis in the autumn. The couple got engaged in late 2002.
In September 2002, Nat and Nic finally launched themselves back onto the music scene, with their first single "Fantasy" written with Andy Hayman and Gareth Young reaching #2 in the UK chart. Their autobiography "Together" came out in October 2002.
In 2003, they had two more hits with "Don't Worry" and "Everything Eventually" and the album, Everything's Eventual which went gold in the UK after just two months. They decided to sign a deal with Concept Music in late 2004 because of differences with their previous label, Polydor.
Nicole has been presenting 'Hell's Kitchen' on ITV and Natalie appeared on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2004.
On January 24, 2006 it was announced that All Saints had reformed with a new record contract and will be releasing a new album at the end of 2006.
Natalie Appleton was born on May 14, 1973 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and is married to Liam Howlett in June 2002. She has a daughter named Rachel Appleton who was born on May 19, 1992 and a son, Ace Howlett, born on March 2, 2004.
Nicole Appleton was born on December 7, 1974 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and is in a long-term relationship with Liam Gallagher. They have a son, Gene Appleton-Gallagher, who was born on July 2, 2001.
