Arabella Weir

Arabella Weir (born December 6, 1957 in San Francisco, California) is a British comedian, actress and writer.
The daughter of former British ambassador Sir Michael Weir, she is famous for her roles in The Fast Show and a number of books including Does My Bum Look Big In This? (a catchphrase of one of her characters in the show). She is also well known for her book Onwards and Upwards, first published in 1999. Arabella also writes articles for The Independent magazine, which is included with the Saturday edition. These articles, although mainly about recent events, commonly include details regarding Arabella's life and the things that she presently considers to be pestiferous.
Weir starred in the 2003 comedy series Posh Nosh which she also co-wrote with Jon Canter. She also contributes to the popular BBC2 comedy series, Grumpy Old Women.
She made regular appearances in the BBC Radio 4 comedy series Smelling of Roses. She has performed in Exile — a Doctor Who audio play by Big Finish Productions as an alternate female version of the Doctor.
Arabella also provides the voice for the puppet duck character Hana in forthcoming children's TV show Hana's Helpline.
She recently appeared in new E4 show Skins.
She is married to Dr Jeremy Norton; the couple have two children.
Actor David Tennant, who was at one time her room-mate, is godfather to one of her children.
