Asquith, New South Wales

Asquith is a northern suburb of Sydney, Australia located near Hornsby, New South Wales, in the Hornsby Shire. Geographically, the suburb encompasses a section of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park on its eastern side. Its postcode is 2077.

The suburb was named in 1915, after the then Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Herbert Henry Asquith, Earl of Oxford and Asquith. Asquith railway station was also created at this time in conjunction with a land release by R. Halloran & Company. Asquith post office opened on 1st April, 1924 and Asquith school opened during March 1930.[1]
