This article refers to the Atharva Veda, Ayurveda verses.

Many scholars have opinion that Atharva veda is the oldest Veda , having verses, precept and maxim. Athrvaveda part four, verse-13, are famous for the diseases curing verses (Hindi-Roga Nivarana Sutra). By chanting these verses several times repeatedly, one will recover soon from the diseases.

Some of these verses are written in Sansakrit Languages and are as follows:

• Ut devah avahitam deva unnaytha punnah /

uttangashchkurusham deva deva jeevyatha punnah //

that means: O god, O god, those have down fall to earth, raise up them again with certainty. O god, O god, those who have caused sin, alive them, alive them again

• Dwamimon vatan vata aa sindhora pravatah /

dusham te anya aavatn vyanyo vatu ydrapah //

that means: There are two vayu [vata, wind].First one is from sea side and the other one from the earth side. Among these, one vayu [Wind] brings strength to you and other one keeps away from the Doshas [tridoshas:aetiological factor for disesases according to Ayurveda].

• aa vata vatu bhaisajam vi vata vahi yadrapah /

twam hi vishwa bhesaj devanam doot eayasey //

that means: O vayu [wind] carry medicines here, O wind, whatever is dosha, remove them. O wind, keeper of all medicines in itself, nodoubt you movew like angel of god, goes everywhere and flows.

• Trajantamimam devastrayantam marutam ganah /

trayantam vishwa bhutani yathayamrpa asat//

that means : O god, protect the life of patient. O crowd of maryt, prevent the sick, all human beings protects the sick, for the same , the sick recover him normal health again.

• Aa twagaamam shantattibhiritho arishtatibhi /

Dausham ta ugramabharisham para yakshami suwami te //

that means: I comes to you with the motto for peace keeping and telling you the procedure for gaining long life. I will fill you with great strength. I will destroy your diseases and ailments.

• Ayam me hasto bhagawannayam me bhagwattarah /

ayam me vishwabhasajayam shivabhimarshanah //

that means: My hand are lucky. My hands are luckiest. My hands are full of medicines and my hands gives curable touch.

• Hastabhyam dashshanhabhyam jivha vachah purogavi /

anamayitnubhyam hastabhyam tabhyam twabhi mrishamasi//

that means: with the ten branches of the both hands [ten fingers], I have also inspiration giving tongue. I touch you with these two hands which will cure you.
