Athidhi (Telugu: అతిథీ) is 2007 Telugu Film starring Mahesh Babu and Amrita Rao. Surender Reddy directed this movie. G. Ramesh Babu, brother of Mahesh Babu, produced it under their banner Krishna Pictures Private Limited. It was released on October 18, 2007 with divide talk.Though it got best openings in mahesh babus career but it cannot sustain long run and ended up with average runner status--Ssdssd (talk) 10:55, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

A boy wanders through all of Delhi looking for a job. When selling balloons, he sees a girl and gives her a free balloon. A few days later, during a storm, the girl finds the boy getting soaked. The girl then gives the boy an umbrella. The umbrella blows into a dangerous place where the girls parents are headed. The boy stops them. The parents like him and the boy gets adopted by the parents. They name the boy "Athidhi" which means "guest." One day, while driving Athidhi to a hostel, they are stopped by a teenager who mugs them, and shoots the parents. In his rage, Athidhi lunges after the teen managing to take the teen's gun. Nearby witnesses see Athidhi with a gun and 2 dead people. The police come and arrest Athidhi and the girl despises him from that moment onwards.

Fourteen years later, Athidhi (now Mahesh Babu) gets out of jail (he went in and out of jail for beating up crooks). In Delhi, he runs across a girl named Amrita (Amrita Rao), who happens to be the girl he met in his childhood. Amrita starts to like Athdhi, but has to go back to Hyderabad before she can confess her love. When Athidhi also arrives to Hyderabad a few days later, he learns that a don named Kaiser is feared there. Later in the film, he realizes that Kaiser was the teen who killed his adopted-parents. Now Kaiser is trying to kill Amrita. Athidhi stops two attempts by Kaiser to murder Amrita. Meanwhile, a police officer is trying to track down Kaiser. The police officer dies in an explosion in his house which was planned by Kaiser. Athidhi manages to kill one of Kaizer's men and steal his cell phone. Kaiser kipnaps Amrita and her uncle's daughter. Kaiser kills Amrita's uncle's daughter.Then Kaiser leds Amrita to a dungeon and calls Athidi.Then Athidi comes and kills the Kaiser and marries Amritha.

• The film proved Mahesh's hegemony in Tollywood by collecting Rs.120.4 million gross in the first week 8 days) [1]and Rs.140.465 million in just 2 weeks which is an all time record for Superstar films. Finally it showed a dismal performance at the box office by running 50 days in 35 centres.
