JB is the name of an American independent audio engineer based in Nashville, Tennessee.

JB grew up as the child of missionary parents in Seoul, Korea. After spending some time as an amateur musician playing in local bands, JB met veteran audio engineer, Bill Lazerus, known for his work with James Taylor, Frank Sinatra and The Rolling Stones. One song that was originally demoed by JB at House of Gold Music, was "Wind Beneath My Wings," later a major hit for Bette Midler.

In 1982, JB was hired by Randy Holland to work in his Nashville Studio, Bullet Recording. Two years later, in April of 1984, JB would set out on his as an independent engineer. Since then, JB has worked on albums by artists like Peter Frampton, Garth Brooks, Amy Grant, Rich Mullins, Phil Keaggy, Ashley Cleveland, Wynonna Judd, Gordon Kennedy, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Phil Madeira, Michael W. Smith, Dion, and others.
