Avenue

The French word avenue can mean or refer to any of the following :
- Most commonly, it refers to two parallel lines of trees specially planted as a landscape feature. See avenue (landscape).
- It is also a specialist term in archaeology referring to lines of stones. See avenue (archaeology).
- It is also a common part of street names, often for roads with lines of trees on either side, but far from always so.
- The Avenues, a neighborhood in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- It is also the scripting language for ArcView 3.x, a GIS program written by ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute).
- The upmarket suburbs just north of Harare, Zimbabwe.
- Avenue Road in Toronto, Ontario and at least 40 others of the same name in London.
