BA Cityflyer is a fully owned subsidiary airline of British Airways based in Manchester, United Kingdom. It operates a network of domestic and European services from London City Airport on behalf of British Airways. BA CityFlyer was awarded an Air Operators Certificate on the 8 February 2007 and started operations on the 25 March 2007[1].

Cityflyer Express Limited trading as BA Cityflyer holds a United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority Type A Operating Licence, it is permitted to carry passengers, cargo and mail on aircraft with 20 or more seats.[2]

Following the sale of BA Connect to Flybe in 2007, British Airways retained the operation out of London City and ten Avro RJ100 aircraft. The subisidiary CityFlyer Express that last operated as British Airways Express in 2001 was resurrected to operate the operation from March 2007.
