BBC Kids is a Canadian category 2 digital cable specialty channel owned by Alliance Atlantis and BBC Worldwide. Its programming is aimed at youth ranging from pre-schoolers to teens.
While the BBC's children's brand is CBBC, presumably using that name in Canada would cause confusion with the CBC.
