Baadshah is a 1999 Bollywood comedy/detective movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, Twinkle Khanna and Raakhee Gulzar. It was directed by Abbas-Mustan.

The movie begins with Thaper(Amrish Puri) who tries to bribe the chief minister of Goa Mrs. Gayatri Bachchan in return of her favour to release the stay order on his biochemical plant which caused the death of many labours. The refusal of the offer angers Thaper & he vowes to kill the chief minister. Thaper hires a killer Shiva for the task.

The scene shifts to a midnight pub where the deemed gambler Baadshsh with his goons beats a diamond thief on the game of rummy. The scene ends in a row with a lot of damage caused in the pub.Baadshah is later revealed to be a private detective hired to get back the stolen diamonds.

Shiva the killer is killed in a car crash & CBI employs their master detective Deepak on the mission to save chief minister. Thaper hires another vamp Rani who along with her boyfriend Moti plans to infiltrate the CBI mission.

Baadshah is shone to be a private detective with a transformable office. His father was a Police officer and his mother wanted him to be a constable. Not wanting to become a constable, he became a private detective instead and changed his name to 'Baadshah'. He manages to


Shahrukh Khan starred as Raj 'Baadshah' who is a private detective. He meets Seema (Twinkle Khanna) who is the sister of a detective (Deepak Tijori). Raj is fooled by Jhunjunwala and his son. He tells that Seema is his daughter and she loves someone. He says that you give me back my daughter so that i can marry him to this young man who actually is his son. The thing he wanted was his son to marry this girl called Seema. But while solving the Jhunjhunwala case he unknowingly starts loving Seema. But due to some circumstances he had to betray her and tell her to marry Jhunjunwala's so .

He gets one more case in which one very rich man's daughter is kidnapped and he says that he is asking me very very costly diamonds. Baadshah (Shahrukh Khan) has an assistant detective Ramlal (Johnny Lever).
