Backyard Football is a series of video games for various systems. Currently all the games in the series have been developed by Humongous Entertainment and published by Atari. It is one of several Backyard Sports games, and is the first of the Backyard Sports series to feature professional players as kids, examples being Steve Young and Barry Sanders. This game was also the first football game to include a Create-a-Player feature.

Backyard Football attempts to recreate the experience of playing American football as children.
