Bad Boys II is the soundtrack to the 2003 action comedy film of the same name. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and soon rose to number one, becoming one of only a few soundtracks to hit the summit. It went platinum, selling over 1.5 million copies. The single, "Shake Ya Tailfeather", won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 2004.

All Music Guide gave the album a favorable review, noting that it is rare for a hip hop movie soundtrack to "be explosive and feel as if it's a solid cohesive album, rather than a showcase for various artists to use throwaway tracks".[1] Rolling Stone concurred, saying "this is how to do a hip-hop soundtrack".[2]
