Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast (video game) is an expansion pack for Baldur's Gate which add about 20-30 hours of extra gameplay to the original game
Tales of the Sword Coast adds four bonus areas to the existing Baldur's Gate game map:
- Ulgoth's Beard
- A pirate island
- An ice island
- Durlag's Tower.
Several other Improvements:
- Similar items now automatically stack together
- Unidentified magic items are displayed in blue.
- You can now set the game to automatically pause when hostile creatures are initially sighted.
- Thieves' abilities have been toned down so that they can no longer vanish from sight unless there are appropriate shadows nearby,
- Thieves now have to sneak behind opponents in order to attempt a backstabbing attack.
- The experience point cap has been raised from 89,000 to 161,000
- More powerful spells
- Better weaponry.
