The Battle of the Treasury Islands was fought from October 25 to November 12 of 1943 between Allied (mainly New Zealand) and Japanese forces in the Solomon Islands. The Allied forces invaded two islands that had been occupied by the Japanese. They successfully recaptured those islands.
