Bayside (ZIP code 53217) is a village in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 4,518 at the 2000 census. A small part of this village also lies in Ozaukee County.

Bayside is located at 43°10′49″N, 87°54′17″W (43.180275, -87.904735)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 6.2 km² (2.4 mi²). None of the area is covered with water. The major portion of the village is in Milwaukee County, but a small portion is in Ozaukee County.

The Schools that are part of Bayside include Bayside Middle School (Fox Point-Bayside District) as well as Maple Dale Middle School and Indian Hill Elementary.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 4,518 people, 1,769 households, and 1,326 families residing in the village. The population density was 732.9/km² (1,898.7/mi²). There were 1,834 housing units at an average density of 297.5/km² (770.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 94.36% White, 2.77% African American, 0.15% Native American, 1.81% Asian, 0.09% Pacific Islander, 0.31% from other races, and 0.51% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.70% of the population.

There were 1,769 households out of which 31.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.3% were married couples living together, 5.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.0% were non-families. 22.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 2.89.

In the village the population was spread out with 23.2% under the age of 18, 3.9% from 18 to 24, 20.0% from 25 to 44, 32.2% from 45 to 64, and 20.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 46 years. For every 100 females there were 91.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.4 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $88,982, and the median income for a family was $104,771. Males had a median income of $74,722 versus $41,935 for females. The per capita income for the village was $49,357. About 3.0% of families and 2.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.9% of those under age 18 and 0.7% of those age 65 or over.
