The Beaumont Drillers are a professional indoor football team. They're currently a member of the American Professional Football League (APFL). They play their home games at Ford Arena in Beaumont, TX. They originally began playing as the Louisiana Rangers in the Indoor Professional Football League (IPFL) in 2000 when they replaced the Louisiana Bayou Beast. As the Rangers, they played their home games at the Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, Louisiana. After the league collapsed, the Rangers moved in to the NIFL. After two seasons, the franchise moved to Beaumont, Texas, and became the Drillers. So far in their overall history, the franchise has made the playoffs three times, yet they fell in Round 1 in each of them. The Beaumont Drillers will sport new jerseys, logo, and colors for the 2008 season. The team will have their games carried via internet by www.lonestargridiron.com and www.lonestarprep.com based in Houston, Texas.
