Bijarani

The Bijarani (Urdu: بجارانی ) are a Balochi tribe in Sindh Pakistan. Bijarani's migrated from Allepo, northern Syria in the 4th century CE, they started leaving this region and migrated to the south of Caspian sea and later on settled in the mountainous region of south-eastern Iran and western Pakistan to Balochistan province of Pakistan.
The chieftain of this tribe commands 37 other Baloch and non Baloch tribes. This tribe still exists in Syria, Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan. The well known personalities of this tribe are K.B. Sardar Sher Mohammad Khan I (Member Bombay Legislative Council before the partition), Khan Sahib Fateh Mohammad Khan Bijarani (Member Shahi Jirga Jacobabad), Sardar Mehran Khan Bijarani (MNA, senator and former Federal Minister), Sardar Sher Mohammad Khan Bijarani II (former MPA), Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani (MPA, senator, MNA and former Federal Minister), Mir Imran Khan Bijarani (former Taluka Nazim Kandhkot), Mir Shabbir Ali Khan Bijarani (former District Nazim Jacobabad) and Asim Bijarani. This Tribe is present not only in Balochistan but also in the Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore districts (formerly known as Khangarh). Mir Jiand Khan Bijarani the ancestor of Bijaranis had four sons namely Nindau, Gaji, Bakhir and Bijar.
There is also a clan of Marri named Bijarani living in Kohlu district.
