Bình Thuận (pronunciation ; Han Tu: ) is a province of Vietnam. It is located on the country's southeastern coast, not far from Hồ Chí Minh City.

Bình Thuận is known for its scenery and for its good beaches. There are also a number of sites of archaeological significance.

Contents

Inland, the province is quite mountainous, but there are also substantial areas of flat land towards the coast.

Agriculture and fisheries are important industries in the province, and tourism is also a growing source of revenue.

Politically, Bình Thuận is divided into eight districts:

  • Bắc Bình
  • Đức Linh
  • Hàm Thuận Bắc
  • Hàm Thuận Nam
  • Hàm Tân
  • Phú Quý
  • Tánh Linh
  • Tuy Phong

The provincial capital, Phan Thiết, is a separate municipality - as well as the town of La Gi.
