The Biographical Directory of the United States Congress is a biographical dictionary of all present and former members of the United States Congress as well as its predecessor, the Continental Congress.

Originally titled Biographical Directory of the American Congress, it was published by the Congress (through the Government Printing Office) as a large bound volume from time to time, starting in the 1920s. The 1989 edition adopted the longer title. A 1996 edition was published by Congressional Quarterly, but did not achieve wide circulation due to the much higher cover price. An online version at bioguide.congress.gov was created about four years later.

The directory includes all present and former Members of both houses of Congress, the Senate and House of Representatives, along with members of the Continental Congress. Also included are Delegates from territories and the District of Columbia and Resident Commissioners from the Philippines and Puerto Rico.

Where available, a list of manuscript collections of the member's papers and a bibliography of published works concerning the member are also provided via links on the left of the member's page.
