The municipality of Bloemendaal consists of the following cities, towns, villages and/or districts: Bloemendaal, Aerdenhout, Bloemendaal aan Zee, Overveen, Vogelenzang.

The municipal government of Bloemendaal consists of 17 seats, which are divided as follows:

Bloemendaal is the home town of one of the country's most famous field hockey clubs, HC Bloemendaal. The first men's team is competing for the Dutch title nearly every year.
