Mind, body, and soul

The mind, body, and soul are the three elementel structures that are believed to make up a human being. Each of the three structures plays an important role in a human's survival on Earth. This belief is common in Christianity and other orthodox belief systems.
The mind is the control center of the body and the producer of logical and rational thought. The mind, in this sense, is believed to be either inside the brain or the physical brain is believed to be the control center of the body, and perhaps an aura or something around the brain or even outside of the head is believed to be the actual thought-producing mind. The brain is essential, on Earth, for communication and the most basic of human function (i.e. walking, talking, etc).
The body is a structure made of cells that's purpose is to keep the mind and soul on Earth. The body, in this sense can be thought of as something that secures or ties the mind and soul to Earth. The body is often thought of as a vessel for the mind and/or the soul, but there is metaphysical reasoning that suggests that the soul is not a small substance inside the body but rather something that is in no way contained in the body but perhaps intertwined with it. The body ties the mind and soul to Earth, and when the body dies, the tie that secures the mind and soul to Earth is broken.
The soul is the elemental human structure that is believed to be made of energy that generates the extremes of human emotion (i.e. love, hate, happiness, etc). The soul, along with the mind, is believed to be immortal and live on after death. The soul is believed by many religions to be able to become contaminated with sin. Some metaphysical theories suggest that the soul has an image that is visible on Earth, this belief, of coarse is found in the belief that all things on Earth have spiritual qualities.
