Body worship

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Body worship is a very general term for the BDSM practice of one person physically reverencing a part of another person's body. Typical are muscle worship, foot worship, cock worship, and ass worship. Body worship is popular among people of all sexual orientations: dominant men and submissive women, submissive men and dominant women, and gay and lesbian couples as well.

Usually accompanied by prostration, re-inforcing a sense of inferiority, a "sub" will generally lick, kiss and suck their dominant's body part, though not allowed to touch it in a more conventional way. The aspect of erotic humiliation is perhaps appreciated more fully by bearing in mind the commonplace "Kiss my ass."

It's worth mentioning that while it can be seen as a submissive act to worship a body or a particular part of a body it can also be simply because the worshipper is in awe of the body (or body part) and wishes to praise and drink in that beauty.

Though encouragement may be provided, verbally or by spanking, body worship is typically received more or less passively, the worshipped party aloof. Face sitting and smothering are both forms of body worship which differ chiefly because of their aggressive approach.

Body worship is a common theme in the work of Japanese fetish artist Namio Harukawa.
