Dominetta Vitali, known simply as Domino, is a fictional character in the James Bond novel, Thunderball. For the 1965 film adaptation, Thunderball, her name was changed to Dominique Derval (though her nickname is still Domino), and she was portrayed by Claudine Auger. Domino appeared again in the 1983 unofficial film remake Never Say Never Again, in which her character was renamed Domino Petachi (Domino now being her actual name) and she was played by Kim Basinger.
Born Dominetta Petacchi, she is an Italian beauty who went to school in England at Cheltenham Ladies' College. She later studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art until being forced to return to Italy after her parents tragic death in a train wreck where she became an actress. She changed her surname to Vitali, a stage name. While in Italy she also became Emilio Largo's mistress whom she calls a "guardian" of no relation.
Bond meets Domino while in Nassau. She is staying on Largo's yacht, the Disco Volante, and believes Largo is in the area on a treasure hunt. For reasons she does not understand Largo makes her stay on land while he and his partners (whom she describes as shareholders) go prospecting for the hidden treasure. She also tells Bond that she has never been able to see the map that they use.
Although Bond is successful in engaging Domino in conversation, she snubs him, but later agrees to meet with him again when she returns to land. She also becomes testy when Bond uses her given name, Dominetta, and bluntly tells him to call her 'Domino'.
When Bond and Domino meet again at the casino later, she has entirely changed. She tells Bond that she is tired of watching Largo show off and letting him use her. She explains to Bond that she is trapped like a bird in a gilded cage.
Domino later reveals that Giuseppe Petacchi is her brother who she hasn't seen for quite some time. Bond finds out that Largo had Petacchi killed after Petacchi had hijacked bomber on SPECTRE's behalf. He proves this to Domino, and recruits her as an ally to spy on Largo. Domino returns to Largo's yacht, the Disco Volante, with a geiger counter to verify the ship as the location of the two stolen nuclear bombs, however, she is uncovered and taken prisoner. Largo tortures her by burning her with a cigar for heat and then using ice cubes for cold.
Domino ultimately escapes as Largo attempts to carry out his plan. During a battle with Bond, while he is focused on 007, she appears behind him and shoots him in the neck with a harpoon from a spear gun, avenging her brother and for what he had previously done to her.
Domino is first seen when Bond travels to Nassau to see if he can find out any information about her brother, Major François Derval.
After making contact, Bond invites Domino to lunch.
Domino is later seen when Bond visits a casino, where he meets Largo accompanied by Domino. After winning, and a brief dance with Domino, Bond is invited to Largo's private estate for dinner.
After attending the Junkanoo with Bond, Domino is later seen when they meet underwater wearing scuba gear and become lovers. Bond tells Domino to check the Disco Volante for the bombs, but she is caught by Largo, who then tortures her for betraying him.
Domino is last seen at the end of Thunderball when she shoots Largo in the back.
In the unofficial film Never Say Never Again she is essentially the same character, this time played by Kim Basinger. She is still called Domino (now apparently no longer a nickname), but her last name has become Petachi. Her adventures are very similar to those of Domino Derval, however.

| Patricia Fearing | |
| Gender | Female |
| Role | Bond girl |
| Affiliation | Shrublands' nurse |
| Current status | Active |
| Portrayed by | Molly Peters |
Patricia Fearing is a fictional character in the James Bond novel Thunderball. For the 1965 film of the same name she went by the nickname 'Pat' and was portrayed by Molly Peters. Fearing is a shapely, blonde, brown-eyed nurse who looks over James Bond while he is a guest at the Shrublands' health farm.
In both the novel and the film she is a nurse at the Shrublands heath farm and is tasked with specifically looking after James Bond while he is a guest. At one point she sets Bond up with the traction table and leaves him for a few moments, however, during her time away Bond is attacked by Count Lippe who turns up the power on the traction table in an attempt to kill him. He ultimately is saved by Fearing when she returns.
After the incident Patricia and her manager, Mr. Wain, believe that Bond had accidentally bumped a switch causing the traction table to speed up. In the novel she pleads with Bond to remain silent on Mr. Wain's behalf feeling that it would damage their reputation if the other patients got work of the incident. In the film, Patricia was much colder, rejecting Bond's advances until the incident occurs. At that point she leads him to the clinic's steam room and promptly asks him not to complain about it, as she would be fired by her manager. Bond responds that he would remain silent for a price. Fearing then joins Bond in the steam room, where she undresses herself and Bond undresses himself. After this they have sex.
There is a later scene in which Bond receives a massage from Fearing using mink gloves. This is changed in the film and has Bond giving a mostly disrobed Fearing a massage with the mink glove, saying that mink "reduces the tension." Fearing responds, "Not mine."
