Bracebridge Hall, or The Humorists, A Medley was written by Washington Irving in 1819 and published by C.S. Van Winkle in New York and in London by Murray. This book was originally published under his pseudonym Geoffrey Crayon. Also originally in two volumes.

Aston Hall in England is thought to be the inspiration for the location of this novel. This came after visits by Washington Irving to James Watt Junior the owner at the time. [1]
