Broadway Video

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Broadway Video is an American independent entertainment company started by Lorne Michaels. It has produced Saturday Night Live for NBC since 1985, as well as Late Night With Conan O'Brien and other SNL related projects. It currently does editing for SNL Studio Movies among other shows.

Broadway Video also acquired the rights to the pre-1974 Rankin/Bass television library in 1988 from General Electric's Tomorrow Entertainment division; that library was, in turn, acquired in 1995 by Golden Books Family Entertainment (now Classic Media, the current rights holder).

The most recent movie production by Broadway Video is Mean Girls (2004). Broadway Video has also produced titles such as Lassie, Enigma, and Wayne's World.
