Coordinates: Buldana is a city and a municipal council in Buldana district in the state of Maharashtra, India.
Buldana is located at .[1] It has an average elevation of 639 metres (2096 feet).
It is the headquarters of Buldhana District. It is located on the top of a mountain in Ajanta ranges, in central India and is about 900 m above sea level.The only salt lake made by astranauticle movements in India comes under this district.
As of 2001 India census,[2] Buldana had a population of 62,979. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Buldana has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 82% and female literacy of 72%. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
