Burnett Shire is a Local Government Area of Queensland, Australia. The shire surrounds the City of Bundaberg and is in turn bounded by the Shire of Isis to the south , Kolan Shire to the west, Shire of Miriam Vale to the north and by the Coral Sea and Hervey Bay to the east.
The main population centres within the shire are the coastal towns of Bargara, Innes Park, Elliott Heads, Burnett Heads and Moore Park.
Burnett Shire was formed from the amalgamation of the majority of Gooburrum and Woongarra Shires in March 1994.
Scott Clark was a candidate in the 2004 election. He missed out on an election win by 1055 votes.
