Saugus Business Partnership

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Saugus Business Partnership was founded in 2003. It was founded by four of the key members of the Saugus Chamber of Commerce: Jim McIver, Russell Robbat, John Smolinsky, and Donald Wong. Its current president is Donald Wong.

It was founded with the intent of improving and enhancing the quality of life in Saugus, and is designed to have less overhead than organizations like the Chamber of Commerce. Officially the Business Partnership and Chamber are not in competition with one another, but generally companies that are members of one are not also members of the other. Currently the Chamber has a lot more member companies, but the Business Partnership tends to have both the larger and more influential ones.

The Business Partnership is known for its donations to local charities and active participation in various Saugus events.
