CBC Radio Overnight

CBC Radio Overnight is a Canadian radio program, which airs nightly on CBC Radio One from 1 a.m. to 5:30 or 6 a.m. (depending on the station).
The program, hosted by Cathy Haag weeknights and Pat Philpod on weekends, presents a variety of information programs from national broadcasters around the world, sourced from the World Radio Network. At the top of each hour, a regular CBC news update is aired.
The program premiered on May 1, 1995. Prior to its launch, the network signed off the air during the overnight hours.
In March of 2007, the program will be extended by one hour, airing at midnight in all time zones. thirty minutes later in Newfoundland every night except Friday, when it will continue to air at 1 a.m.
