CHWV-FM is an adult contemporary hit radio station in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. It is better known as 97.3 The Wave. The General Manager is Jim MacMullin and the Program Director is Bruce Weaver.

The station is owned by Acadia Broadcasting Limited, (a subsidiary of Ocean Capital Investments) which also owns CHSJ-FM (Country 94) in Saint John, CKBW-FM in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia and CHTD-FM (98.1 The Tide) in St. Stephen.

The Wave's first broadcast was on February 19, 2001.

The current weekday schedule on The Wave is as follows:

  • 6am-9am: The Wave Wakeup Show with Dan Coulton and Lori Carle
  • 9am-12pm: Dan Coulton
  • Noon-4pm: Bruce Weaver
  • 4pm-Midnight: Melinda Barkhouse

The Wave and and its sister station CHSJ-FM (Country 94) are known for their community involvement in such events as the Rally of Hope (in support of the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation) and Skate to Care (for Mind Care NB). The station is also known for its creative promotions, such as "Swag Tags", "Show Us Your Wave", and "The Wave Payroll".

Weeknights, The Wave airs its seven most requested songs of the day in the "Top 7 @ 7" (formerly "Top 9 @ 9"), hosted by Melinda Barkhouse. Since October 2006, the station has its own weekend countdown show, "The Wave Hot 20 Countdown", also hosted by Melinda Barkhouse, which airs on Saturdays at 6 pm and on Sundays at 4 pm. The Wave also features the weekly syndicated radio show American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest on Sundays at 6 pm.
